Hello All VJ,s

i have a question.that here i have my friend who came USA on Visit Visa.then her Bro file i130 and it was approved .now she want apply for US Citizen .i just want to know if she able to do it and if someone know about online lawyer to deal with her case . As she have SSN here .and her 2 childer have green card .

i hope you understand my question

Yes, she can--in about 17 years or so based on the FB-4 (sibling sponsorship).

  • 11 years or so for visa number to become available
  • 1 year to process her application for immigrant visa
  • 5 years after she gets GC, she can apply for citizenship

What's your friend's immigration status right now? The first criterion she needs to meet in order to be eligible for citizenship is that she has to be a green card holder for at least 5 years.

08/17/08: Mailed N400 to TSC

08/19/08: USPS attempted delivery

08/20/08: TSC received N400

08/21/08: TSC cashed check

09/02/08: Received NOA...........Priority date: 08/20/08

..............................................Notice date : 08/22/08

09/02/08: Received Biometrics Notification

09/18/08: Biometrics completed - Charlotte DO

10/24/08: Received Interview Letter

12/08/08: Interview @ 1:00pm. APPROVED!

01/05/09: Oath Ceremony 10:00AM. Now officially a USC!!!
