Hi everyone. I received April 17, 2006 I-797 stating that my petition i-129f has been approved and it was now going to be sent to NVC in Portsmouth, NH. Have not heard anything yet as of date. Can anyone tell me how long it may be before i hear the status of this? They stated that the NVC should complete the process within two to four weeks and send the petetion to the U.S. Embasy where my fiancee is living (philipppines).

I will also receive notification by mail when the NVC has sent my petition to the Embasy. Just would like to know what is going on here and how long this part my take if anyone can let me know. Thanks so much for your help. God bless, Louie

Louie,

Have you tried calling the NVC and asking them?

They seem to have been able to tell the USC one way or the other if the petition's in the system.

Reading many posts on the subject here it seems some people never get notification or even confirmation when the petition's received by phone call and then suddenly it shows up at the embassy.

Allow 4 weeks from the date of letter from NVC for your case to be processed by the embassy and for them to send out packet 3. Your fiancee should be getting it in the mail very soon!

Good Luck
