Just curious if giving up a green card would affect a person for further travel to the US.

I got married, got a green card, the marriage didn't work out and I left right away. Haven't used the green card to re-enter since.

So if I were to go again in the future would it affect me at all (tourist visas, etc)?

If ever anyone ask you about your GC, you just need to tell them the truth.

Since you have officially abandoned your green card status in the US, you may wish to notify the US consulate in your area and physically turn over the green card. That way they can make the final notation on your file and there shouldn't be any future repercussions when you wish to travel back to the US. I'm sorry that it did not work out.

You have to go to the consulate and give them your green card, you didn't mention for how long have you been outside of US, but it's better if you just give up your green card and the will give you a visitor visa instead.
