I filed my I-130 and I-129F together way back in January at VSC, and yesterday I got an e-mail saying that my I-130 (but not my I-129F) was being transferred to CSC. This is the first time I've seen the petitions split up like that. Any ideas as to what will happen? My guess is that the I-130 will be approved and nothing will happen to the I-129F, so that I'll have to go the CR-1 route (which is OK--I just want an approval!).

Anyway, I was curious if something similar happened to other K-3 filers at VSC.

you are the first one in this category from VJ that got transferred. I still think it's good for all of you getting transferred to CSC. It will speed up your approval. I am wondering why VSC is bothering with these transfers since the transfer process also involves a lot of work....why not just start approving?

EXACTLY... they seem to have difficulty just updating a damn website's processing times... they should just stick to the basics since they are too stupid for anything more complicated than an abacus.

Transfers seldom in the past of this nature have led to faster approvals, they have to be received at CSC integrated into the work load or other IR1/CR1 and K3s and other type of petitions, but there is always hope that things will be different this time.

I am also in the same category. Filed both 130 and 129 and was transferred to CSC on 08/13. Only received touch and notification on the 130 petition; nothing on the 129.

There are about eight people that were transferred and approved in the last two weeks so I have asked in the IR1/CR1 forum to see if any of them will tell us if they had filed for the 129F and what happened to it.

Math Man, take a look at this post regarding the people that were transferred and their current status.
