Im sure this has been covered before...but, after the embassy has scheduled an appointment for you, is it possible to phone them up and ask for an earlier date. I am applying at london and have found out my interview is September 18th, but was hoping for it to be earlier. Anybody tried this before and been successful??? Thanks in advance. Dave

Maybe calling them to say you're available if there is a cancellation might help. I'm sure they gave you the earliest available. Getting one a month in advance isn't too long of a wait but if they know you're available on a one or two day notice might help.

I'm sure they gave you the earliest date.

All of us would be calling in getting earlier dates if that's how it works...but unfortunately, it doesn't.

The interview will be here before you know it.

Good luck.

Yeah I pretty much agree with Laura.

There is a space on Packet 3 that asks something about preferred interview date AND date of wedding & travel, did you fill that in? usually people use that to get a speedier interview, we didn't since we didnt have any concrete wedding plans (venue ect) we are happy to take whatever they have free.

I think if it was further away they might be more sympathetic, but with less than a month you probably have alot of people before you.

Best of luck anyway mate!
