In April, my husband finally received his green card after waiting for more than 2 years. However, it was a 2-year card instead of a 10-year card. At an infopass appointment we were told to return the card with evidence that we have been married for more than 2 years in order to receive a corrected card. We did so on April 24th. We did not receive a receipt (NA01) for this. From the USCIS website, I see that the case (under the original case #) was touched on May 19th. Since then there have no touches, no communications of any kind. I was hoping to have some kind of resolution by now.

We need to travel next month. My husband has the Advanced Parole document that we applied for last year. It is valid until 9/19/08.

My question is can travel with the AP document or is that not valid any longer since his green card is approved in the system? Or maybe we should make another infopass appointment and get his passport stamped?

Thanks.

The AP is no longer valid but you can show your travel itinerary at the local USCIS office and get the I-551 stamp in your passport. That serves as a temporary green card.

I thought that might be the better option. Thanks for the response!
