Distance learning courses

I found not having a degree has been a hinderance since I got to the US so I'm currently doing a BS in Computer Science which is offered on-campus and online. I'm completing the degree through the online course. It's a lot of hard work with a few very tough assignments and you certainly need to be disciplined in terms of meeting deadlines and general time management in regard to general study and keeping up with the course, while at the same time ensuring you have a social life and do not neglect your family.

From the computer science module discussion boards and correspondance with other students via email and instant messaging, most other students seem to find the course very challanging but very rewarding. One or two have lost interest and I doubt if they'll finish the course. But I am really enjoying it and the subject material I'm learning (XML, XSL, DTD, HTML, CSS, SOA and such) is also very relevant to the work I do.

The University offers a Masters Degree in Mobile Computing which I intend to continue with after graduating with the BS degree, although that will be another year and a half from now.
