I was a communist until 1989

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

If you filed the N-400, did you disclose that?

I also have communists in my family. My family is from the only state in India to have had a communist government for over 30 years now.

I don't see them. I don't hang in those circles.

What is your point?

All I said is that I have met communists in the past in person. And that there are wise guys that think it is cute to hang the commie tag on themselves here at VJ. I don't know nor do I give a rat's ####### whether they are true believers or not. Read my previous posts if you want my take on it.

How do you know atoms exist? Ever seen one? Or did you just read about them in a book?

If you want to meet a real commie I'm sure you could find lots of them if you went looking. I'm not really looking.

I think it's cute how many right wingers throw that label at the left wrecklessly. Good for you if you've met some nutty people who talk about overthrowing the government. Not every nutjob is coming from a specific ideology and not everyone in favor of things like socialized healthcare is a communist. I'll continue to make light of the absurdity in which people use the label 'commie' towards liberals as long as they keep making that association. Get used to it....I have.

I seriously doubt that statement. What? You saw the light and decided to flee to the heart of capitalism. Just another case of "I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure"?
