Right, so NOA2 has been received, and an interview is pending - next step, AOS.

You know, after the 5 month wait for NOA2, I had assumed that the rest of the process (including AOS) would move relatively swiflty. However, having perused this forum, I've read some right horror stories pertaining to this process, and I was wondering: is this normal?

I mean, what seems to be the average wait from filing AOS to receiving it? I figured no more than 3 months. That about right? Or am I completely wide of the mark?

More tedious Plus

During the K1 process and interview they could only deny you.

Now you have to worry about them deporting you!! :crying:

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

This is cute. I knew what you meant when you said next step (paperwork wise) but it still brought a giggle.

I thought that the AOS process was MUCH easier. We knew some ins and outs, and being together made the process that much easier. You don't think about it everyday, so time seemed to go faster. I'd say there are as many "horror" stories about AOS as their is about K-1. You really are jumping ahead...don't forget to enjoy the ride until then!

Gosh no! :hehe: You're just too funny. I love your sense of humour. You're the guy that's moving to Southern Ill? Hope you can make the next VJ meetup. Have to see if you're as funny in person as you are here.

P.S. This is all in fun I hope you know. I'm not laughing AT you.

Yep, good 'ol Southern Illinois. A little shitsplat town called Percy, to be precise. And as far as what I'm like in real life? Like on here, but with added alcohol.

And Carla, I know it's all in jest. I always use smileys to indicate that fact.
