When I first started looking into the immigration process a couple of years ago, I seem to recall the Seoul embassy website stating that she would have to get an Emmigration Passport from the Korean Govt. It was a requirement of Korea's. Now the website just says she needs to get a passport, so I think the requirement has changed. The embassy's info is here: http://seoul.usembassy.gov/visa_categories.html

In particular see: http://seoul.usembassy.gov/uploads/images/...wwwfiseo35e.pdf

where it says; "PASSPORT. A signed passport should be valid for at least 8 months at the time of visa issuance. Korean citizens

must contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, www.mofat.go.kr, for Korean passport information." I'd suggest you have your husband contact them just to make sure that the emmigration passport is no longer required. We haven't got around to doing that yet so I can't say for sure that you don't need it.
