So, 125% * 3 of the federal poverty level for a household of two people should equal out to be......? Im a bit lost this morning.

$52,500 is the number...Its still fresh on my mind.

$17,500x3

Yep, so my $55,600 in assets plus his meager annual salary (for 2007, it was around $6000, but this year it'll b around $3000) should be enough to satisfy the requirements... I really don't know what to do

Im with you! It is giving me a headache. 0i!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Hi!

I highly suggest thouroughly going through the instructions on the I864, i know you probably have read it and re read it. But just sit down and really go through it.

I know for myself it helped me decipher what exactly i needed and I also missed some parts that were important to my case. Then call a lawyer, most of them will give a free phone consultation at least.

The information on here from everyone is helpful, however almost everyone has a different scenario and may not be exactly what pertains to your situation.

I agree, and yes I've read it over and over again, and I can't see what we have done wrong, if anything. Therefore, we have decided to just send the same documentation of my assets and his income, that we sent in the initial package, along with his most recent pay stubs. The USCIS has been known to misplace things and make other stupid mistake, so we are going to take our chances on this one. The worst that can happen is that we'll get a second RFE for the I-864, right?

We've also talked about making an infopass appointment and have an actual immigration officer (not the retards on the USCIS misinformation hotline). Anybody has any experience with this?

And I have read the mountains of forms for AOS over and over till Im sick. To me, they may as well be written in Latin. I have also looked through the sample forms here on VJ. Steph is right...everyone has a different scenario. Sigh.

I know! I think we can read the stuff all we want till we're blue in the face, but ultimately it all depends on how competent the USCIS person is and what mood he or she happens to be in that day

I'll go with this, and we'll see what happens. I'll keep you all updated! Thanks so much for all your replies and input. I really can't tell you how grateful I am of your support!
