Timeline

It has been over three weeks now since our AOS interview. We were told, that it would be approved pending FBI checks and Local checks ( still unclear about this ). We have been checking our online case status everyday, hoping for some news. On sunday we noticed a change, it said that our receipt/case number was not found in the system. Ok we said, and thought little of it.

Today we checked again and got the same message. So my wife called the USCIS hotline. They said they could not locate our case number either, and didn't really know what had happened to it. They were basically full of useless advice.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? Does anyone have advice on what we can do?

Got a feeling and ive said this since the interview, that our case is lost somewhere, and that the AOS was never approved, nor will never be approved without some form of intervention.

Can anyone pass on words of wisdom?

Thanks if you can!

We just got NOA's and biometric letter for our AOS case and our case number still "does not exist" in the database, a few other people are in the same situation as us.

Let's hope it's not some office worker spilled hot coffee on the servers and wiped out the computer database and didn't bother to tell anyone about it. Just kidding!

I-129F(K-1)

9/7/04: Engaged

10/25/04: Sent I-129F original submission (Nebraska SC)

8/1/05: K-1 visa approved!

12/3/05: My honey and I entered through Chicago O'Hare together. She is finally home with me!

I-485 AOS

12/21/05: Got married

12/22/05: Applied for SSN, had to do manual verification, 6-8 wks:(; completed I-693 vaccination supplement w/ local civial surgeon

1/09/06: Got SSN card in mail, this is fast!

1/20/06: Sent AOS, EAD and AP package to Chicago Lockbox

1/31/06: Received NOA1's for AOS, EAD & AP

2/3/06: Biometric appt letter arrived today (wow! that's fast!), scheduled for Wed. 2/22/06

2/22/06: Biometric done, but found out we had the wrong DOB filled out on her I-485, cannot be corrected at the time because her case isn't in the "system" yet. This is stressful.

2/25/06: I-485 touched

3/6/06: Infopass Appt in downtown Chicago to resolve the DOB issue. Had to send a letter to the processing center.

3/24/06: AP approved and sent in mail!

3/27/06: EAD touched.

3/28/06: EAD approved online

3/29/06: AP received in mail

4/29/06: AOS NOA2 received -- interview date June 28 2006. Online status shows still in process.

6/28/06: AOS INTERVIEW in downtown Chicago Sucess! Passport got stamped and Green Card is on its way!

7/8/06: Green Card arrived

I-751 Remove Condition

4/28/08: Sent I-751 package to NSC

4/30/08: NOA1 date

5/12/08: 1st NOA for biometric appt on 5/28/08

5/16/08: Another NOA for biometric appt on 6/5/08, we are confused
