Hi All

I have K1 Visa interview at Mumbai Consulate just round the corner. I have submitted all my papers and medical at VFS Kolkatta.

At one point, I need some advice. All my vaccinations are in order but I took the polio vaccine when I was soooooo young. For

that, I have problem in getting proof. Would that be an issue ?

Secondly, do I have to prepare for questions regarding what I will do in USA - work related ?

Vaccination requirements are age specific, Polio is NOT a requirement for adjustment of status from a K-1.

Vaccinations are also not a requirement for K-Visas, the records are needed later when adjusting status.

Vaccination Requirements

United States immigration law requires immigrant visa applicants to obtain certain vaccinations prior to the issuance of an immigrant visa. Panel physicians who conduct medical examinations of immigrant visa applicants are required to verify that immigrant visa applicants have met the vaccination requirements. See IV Vaccination Requirements for the list of required vaccinations and additional information.

As a fiancé(e), you are not required to fulfill this requirement at the time of your medical examination for a fiancé(e) visa. However, you may want to do so. These vaccinations are required when you adjust status following your marriage.

US Civil surgeon will be looking for when adjusting status:

MMR, Tetanus and diphtheria toxoids, and Varicella

AND you are entering the country to marry, not work, so no you dont have to be prepared for work related questioning.
