hello everyone ,

i have a question for you guys.

my i130 petition was received by chicago office on 18th of july and i am a canadian permanent resident.

in canada, only the montreal canadian consulate processes the CR1/IR1 visa.

i live in vancouver.

so my question is :

CAN I OPT FOR THE VANCOUVER CONSULATE IN THE APPLICATION OF I129 AS THE CHOICE OF CONSULATE OR DO I

HAVE TO STICK TO MONTREAL AS I HAVE OPTED FOR MONTREAL CONSULATEIN I 130 PETITION,

I HAVE 2 TO 3 WEEKS OF TIME BEFORE I SEND MY I129 PETITION.

I WANT TO KNOW WHETHER I HAVE THE OPTION TO OPT FOR TWO DIFFERENT CONSULATES FOR I130 AND I129 PETITIONS.

I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR TIME AND HELP TO ANSWER MY QUESTION.

THANK YOU,

RAHI

I can't say for sure (not a canadian) however I think since these are separate petitions you can choose different consulates for each one.
