NVC just sent our I129 to Manila...question

whats the expected wait time from when they recieve it, till when they send my fiance her packet and interview date? I understand its quite a wait..more than 3 months? Whats peoples experiences here..so far our application has gone smoothely:)

Est time is about 6 months backlogged, since Manila is a very busy embassy. My wife got hers in 5 months with an interview next month.

Wife's K-1 Visa application arrived at Manila Embassy on June 16....received interview packet in late October....medical on Nov. 10....interview Nov. 17....married Jan. 21. Good luck!

my husband sent an application Dec 2004 i got the papers by end of March tht has my Medical and Interview appt. for may but due to my medical i was able to get here by aug 03. but if it wasn't i would have been here in the US last June. Now i'm still waiting for my bio appt. Goodluck guys

When Claudeth went through she got her packet about a month before the interview. Check the following link at the beginning of each month. You should be able to get a feel where you are by comparing the case number. MNL2006XXXXXX - The first XXX is your julian date that the NVC assigned your case plus 500 and the last XXX is the order for assignment to Manila. Example: 2006502001 would mean that it was assigned on January 2nd and was the first assignment for Manila that day. Good luck

The waiting times were much shorter late 2004/early 2005 ... they got gradually longer during the middle of 2005 and finally topped out at around 6 months by the end of the year. to get a good idea of how long yours will take, look at what the timelines are for those that have just got their interview notice in the past couple of months. Recent timelines are better indicators of wait times than older ones.

By the way, don't go by my timeline ... we got an expedited interview based on a medical problem.
