You can write a check here without a bank preapproval.

You can use a credit card without showing ID

Travelers Checks are accepted almost everywhere.

You have to pump your own gas

yep, not to mention cleaner public restrooms and motion activated toilet paper dispenser :star:

how bout most public restrooms have toilet paper...

yep, Drive thru's anywhere which makes it more fun. Pumping gas on your own without having to deal with slow service. And ya super large stuff that makes it more enjoyable :thumbs:

Cass how about everywhere else is drive thru.. including bank!

haven't done much sightseeing yet but me and my husband agreed to have a picture day sometime soon... it's just so hard to budget with the much expensive gas rates...

San Diego is our hometown too! Lots to see and do here.

Glad you seem to be enjoying it so far.

Have you gotten to do much in the way of sightseeing yet?

it happened to me as well but this time it's the machine activated toilet paper dispenser... :lol:

how bout most public restrooms have toilet paper...

... and some of them flushes on its own the moment you stood up (at least on women's restrooms) :thumbs:

(scared the heck out of me the first time I used toilet with automatic flush) :whistle:

There are some toilets with automatic flush here in Manila too. They have it in some malls and in the airport but yeah i guess it is nothing compared to how normal that it is there in the US unlike here in Phil :)

how about withdrawing and depositing in bank and only talk to the teller in the computer ehehe... :)

and just put id and check/money in a round tube like alkansya :devil: ... (to deposit) and then it will shoot to somewhere in teller's counter & then it will be back in minutes with ur id and receipt... ahahha... i don't know how to explain... basta un na un...

and also,, in grocery, pay by yourself, cash or credit/debit card ...and put your groceries in the bag by yourself too..

:P ngtitipid ata sila ng employees eh hehe

The first thing I noticed and enjoyed was the ketsup and napkins, you can get as many as you want specially in the fast food restaurants unlike in the philippines you will ask and they will just give you one or two pcs additional and i guess you need to beg for it. same as the plastic bags in the grocery you can request to double or ask more. The malls has no security guards that will always check your bag every time you enter the building. 24 hrs airconditioned at home during summer. You can eat breakfast meals even lunch or dinner.
