How can I respond to the Request for Initial Evidence

My biometrics were done on July 3rd, 2008 for both applications I-485 and I-765. But, I have just received a Request for Initial Evidence for ( I-485) dated on July 7th , 2008, stating that the immigration office is unable to complete the processing of my Application to register permanent residence because the household member on form I-864A, Contract Between sponsor and household member, failed to submit proof of current income and that in order to have my application further processed , I need to submit evidence of the household member’s income within 87 days .Such evidence should include :

A) Letter of Employment containing the following :

Dates of employment

Nature of the job

Wages or salary earned

Number of hours per week worked

Prospects for future employment and advancement

B) pay stubs or other documentation to pay for the previous 6 months .

Now, please I need help with the following 2 issues :

1) Actually, We have already submitted the federal income tax of my co -sponsor , who are my wife’s grandparents . But, we didn’t think it was necessary to send evidence of current income.

My co -sponsor’s current (based on retirement ) income is on social security which is directly deposited to their bank account ? So. Please how can I respond to the Request for Initial Evidence ?

B) the letter also says the service will process my Form I-765 , Application for employment authorization

( if submitted ) within 90 days of the receipt of my missing initial evidence .this is pursuant to Title 8, code of Federal Regulations …ect. Please , what does this mean ?

Thank you for your help

Perhaps a statement from the Social Security Administration indicating the benefit amount. If that is the only income though, it may not be sufficient. Any income claimed has some way to be documented and the recipient of the income would know how to document it.

Did you include the supporting documentation with the tax return, like 1099s etc.?

Thank you so much for your interesting response.I appreciate it .Well , we shall try to get the household bank statements showing the income for the last 6 months. We are also going to ask for documents of income for the household members-who are my wife's grandparents - from the UStreasury social security and from Sun Life Annuity ( retiremnet plan).Their current annual income is about $24456. I hope that will be sufficient .

what Iam panicked about is that my wife herself filled the household member, form I-864A , and they only signed it .She usually pays their bills online for them and , but she screwed it up becase she mistook their current annual income for their 2007 income , which was about 32000$.So , she wrote the latter figure instead. She didn't mean to missreport , but that was the figure she had on her mind.

Iam really stressed out about it , and Idon't know what to do? We are thinking about calling the immigration services tomorrow .please , any suggestion or help will be appreciated .Thank you
