Hello our VJ Family! Finally, I received my biometrics appointment letter just today - almost 8 weeks after since filing date. thank God!

but as i was reading it, i notice that it only pertains to my AOS application and it only states my AOS case number at the upper right hand corner of the letter even though I applied for my EAD at the same time with the AOS. And since i experienced some delays on receiving my biometrics appointment letter, I called the uscis customer service two weeks ago to make a service request informing the national benefit center that i haven't received my bio appointment letter yet for my AOS. And just today i got the appointment letter which only pertains for my AOS application. I don't know if this the effect of the service request that i made.

Now, my question is, will this biometrics appointment be useful for both cases that i filed at the same time- AOS & EAD? Even though the ASC

letter only states my AOS case number? What should I do during my

biometrics appointment? Should I inform the officer at the ASC that I also applied for EAD (which I need so badly. Hehe.) ?

Anybody who have experienced this? Please enlighten me.

Thanks a lot! God is so good all the time!

If you got your EAD NOA, then take that with you as well. If i am correct one the NOA for the EAD it states that you will be contacted for biometrics.

Beng,

When you go to your biometrics appointment they will hand you a form to fill out and there is a question there asking if you're going to work (of course you will check the "yes" box) lol! so EAD is included in that process. Maybe the EAD notice from USCIS just got delayed in the mail, so just hang on there, it will come soon.....

Goodluck and God bless....

Im in the same situation beng its been almost 7 weeks and no biometrics appointment letter. Im about to burst! I hope it will be here before eight weeks. I called the customer service number and the operator could not tell me anything except to wait and see. Did you speak to an immigration officer when you called?

hi my advice is call uscis, explain ur situation and ask what is the best thing to do?

i called uscis a week ago coz the appointment noticed that they sent to me was in Charlotte and it is 3 hours drive from our city.. I requested them if possible for me to have my biometrics in Raleigh (which is 20 min away from where I live) ... and they granted it :) so no hurt in trying :star:

and yeah they are right, when u will go to the local office for biometrics, they will give u a form .. it has 3 blanks to put your receipt #'s.

congratulations for the appointment.. :)

Hello Beng & Carl, close to the bottom of the biometric appointment document does it show aos/ead case numbers with lllllllllllll the bar codes below the case numbers? This is how we received ours ...not saying that this is normal, just trying to shed some light. Our appointment indicated both is all.

BIG BIG THANKS for the replies. Well, the ASC notice that I got only pertains to my I-485 application. However, during my biometrics appointment, I will ask the officer if it will also cover for my EAD application. I hope so and I believe so.

I'll let you know guys what's gonna happen on Tuesday.

God bless us all in this process.
