I wish best luck for you.

Best bet to know your case status will be interview officer since she has all the information.

When I had my interview, I brought all information as much as possible.

So it was full of dupel bag, so district office security guy made a joke such as if he put it in the kitchen, it may sink.

But what the heck!

I thought it will be better to have over-prepared than hearing "sorry" from interivew officer.

Luckily interview officer may be tired or sick of paperwork, so he didn't ask any further information at all.

Once again, I wish best luck for you.

I will leave yours as-is with the hope that I can hear good news from you with "Approval", so I can revisit yours with approval news.

mine didn't go so smooth unfortunately. it has always been like this. I don't know the outcome yet. she didnt find the papers i brought enough and asked for more information. Gave me a paper saying that decision cant be made yet. So wednesday night we sat with my wife and printed pictures alot of financial papers bla bla.. about 100 pages of papers. I dropped them off yesterday as she said. So I never heard from her. Called her office, she didnt pick the phone, I left her a message. I am sure she approved the stuff yesterday after she got the papers so I am waiting for an oath letter. But it may be a rejected letter which is gonna suck that i ll have to appeal and bla bla. I dont know next step right now and other than that questions were same civic questions which were easy.

So that is it for now. If i hear any updates, I will let you know. Is there any other way that I can learn the outcome of the interview other than contacting her? I mean website is never updated or phone line, so??

Hey guys,

officer called me yesterday and said she looked at the paperwork and she approved it but she was so scared how i found out her number. it was pretty easy hehe!!so she said i ll get a letter in 4 weeks with my oath date...last step:) so you can change mine to black now too:)) COOOOL!!!

Cool! ILLEGAL_ALIENS got approved, too. ^^

So next turn will be SamFam?

SamFam will be first to take civic test after October 1, 2008, so it's curious to see what he/she is going through.

We know that USCIS should give the choice for old OR new test for Interviewee.

Otherwise it will be quiet until the end of October.

I hope rest of us, who didn't receive Interview Letter yet, will receive it soon.

Hey, Can you explain me that what happend in iinterview, did they ask you about your green card? the question i am asking you is becouse, i planned to travel pakistan in december and i need green card with me during trip with pakistani passport, and i m not sure if i can get US passport by that time, probably i can get my interview in november, may be you ca

give me some idea whether they took back green card during interview or not.

Somebody told me they ask for green card.

In interview the officer first asked me for greencard new & old , pakistani passport . When he done all the process asking questions etc then he gave me renew greencard back & took the old expired GC ...

Hey, Can you explain me that what happend in iinterview, did they ask you about your green card? the question i am asking you is becouse, i planned to travel pakistan in december and i need green card with me during trip with pakistani passport, and i m not sure if i can get US passport by that time, probably i can get my interview in november, may be you ca

give me some idea whether they took back green card during interview or not.

Somebody told me they ask for green card.

For Interview, Adjudicator - Interview Officer - verified Green Card, and took the copy of it if you didn't provide it already.

You will get the green card back at the end of interview.

The time you have to surrender your green card is when you take the oath.

Until then, you will have your green card with you.

Congratulations to those who passed their interviews and Good luck to those who have upcoming interviews.

As for me, I bet that in our little circle of July filers, I will be the last one who will get an Interview . Hartford office is 2nd in the country for being the slowest. A friend who filed in October of 2007 just had her interview this past Monday, September 29. But she was given the oath date after the interview, 2 weeks from interview date. So it is about 11 months after filing to get an interview and roughly 1 year from start to finish.

Comparing yours with NYC_Prospect, you are about 20 days behind of him.

So yours may be around Christmas. ^^
