Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal I-1

1. Walk through the First ENTRANCE.

2. Second entrance (with 2 entrance doors). First security check of bags by xray machine. (I had 2 checked luggages both with 62" total dimension, 1 handcarry bag, and my coat.)

3. After the security check, I went to the Check-In Counter to check in my luggages.I fell in line at North West Airline counter. While at line, uniformed airport staff gave me embarcation card form to fill up.(There are different airlines line there, just find where your airline counter is and fall in line.)

Checking in my luggages:

first staff: The uniformed lady asked me the following questions:

what are in your luggages? "all my personal stuffs. clothes, shoes, bags, accesories and other girly stuffs"

who is your petitioner? "My husband ____ _____."

Where is your xray film? "It's here in my handcarry bag."

Where is your yellow packet? (I showed her my yellow packet, she looked at it and after that she told me "okay, everything is fine, i just checked if you have opened it.)

Did anyone or somebody asked you to bring some of their packages for someone in US? "No, all i brought with me were my personal belongings."

Did you bring any fruits or foods? "No."

second staff: The uniformed lady asked me to show my ticket or e-ticket and my passport. She checked it in her computer and then She asked me if i wanted to change my seat number and she asked me what seat number i want for my connecting flights. She asked if Denver Colorado is my final destination and i said "yes". After that, she gave me my 3 boarding passes. Next, i proceed to:

third staff: The uniformed guy asked for my passport and my boarding passes. He then checked my passport to make sure i have the CFO sticker. He asked me where is my final destination and i told him "Denver Colorado". After that, he then told me that I should get my Checked In luggages at my POE which is in LAX (Los Angeles Intenational Airport). I said "Okay Sir, thank you." And then he gave back to me my passport and my boarding passes. He gave me the 2 checked in claim stubs. After here, he instructed me to go to pay the "Terminal fee". (After here, i didn't go yet to pay the terminal fee coz i still need to go out to bid farewell to my family who is still waiting outside. I left my boarding pass to the security lady at exit door and she gave me the claim stub for my boarding pass, she reminded me to go back by 6am or 6:30am. At 6am i went inside already to get my boarding pass and went to pay the Terminal Fee.)

Terminal Fee Payment:

I paid P750.

Immigration:

After Terminal Fee, is a line to Immigration. Here, I wasn't asked or anything, i only gave my passport and my boarding passes, and then the Immigration woman only marked my passport that basically says "departure June 27, 2008 NW 002". After this, she gave it back to me. Next was,

Security check: I put my handcarry bag, coat, and remove my slippers and put it at the tray and that passed through xray machine while me I passed through the metal detector machine barefooted. After here was on the way to go to my gate number for boarding.

Boarding:

Security Check: I fell in line with Gate number 2 (with flight NW 002). I put my handcarry bag, coat, slippers, and laptop to the tray for security check again. This was the last security check before boarding my plane.

At Gate number 2: I showed my passport and my boarding pass (Manila to LA via Narita Japan). After this, i boarded the plane.

Flights:

(Manila to Narita Japan) I had a nice flight. I was sitting at the isle. They served good food but not too many choices. It took almost 4 hours trip MNL to JAPAN.

Lay over at Japan before my flight to LA was 2 hours.

(Narita Japan to LA) I had a nice flight. I was sitting next the window. (Beside me was 2 Japanese whom i had a conversation from Japan to LA. Before boarding off the plane at LA, they gave me souveniers. Yay!) During this trip while nearing LAX, I was given the customs declaration form and departure record form to fill up. It took almost 9 hours trip Japan to LA.

My POE experience at LAX.

Boarded off the plane. Then I went to the Immigration Officer desk, the Immigtaion officer was nice, he only asked me if i am married already, and i answered him "yes sir." After here, he marked my passport that basically says "Admitted LAX June 27, 2008, Class K3 valid until June 26, 2010" and the Immigration officer stapled to the page where he marked the bottom part of the departure form that i filled up. After here, i went to the Carousel to get my luggages. Bad experience at claim luggages, people working there seemed not want to assist you carrying luggages. Compared in Manila, Filipinos has the urge to help you without you asking it. But very different from LAX, poor service. I looked and asked someone working there to carry my checked luggages and gave him a tip. After here, i proceed for my connecting flight. I went to the security check in LAX, this upset me a lot, the guy who checked on my handcarry bag removed my laptop and while returning my laptop it fell on the floor. wth! Anyways, i just didn't have a good experience when it comes to LAX Security and Luggages. But was a nice immigration officer though who checked on my papers.

Lay over at LAX before my flight to St. Paul was 2 hours and 30 mins.

(LA to St. Paul Minneapolis)

It took almost 4 hours trip from LA to St. Paul Minneapolis.

Lay over at St. Paul before my flight to Denver CO was 4 hours.

(St. Paul Minneapolis to Denver Colorado) It took almost 2 hours trip from St. Paul to Denver Colorado. Had a nice trip during this flight. More on when i landed already and saw my husband waiting on me.

Stayed at hotel in Denver CO for a while.

Drive home to Kansas.

And now we are finally home and time to write this experience i had with my flights.

Shape

WELCOME to USA! finally we made it, after the stressful verification in USEM...regards to your husband
