Five weeks have now gone by since my interview at USE Manila, for K-1 Visa. My fiance flew to the Philippines from NY to be with me and went to the interview with me too. The Consul told us that everything looked good, however, document(s) needed to be verified (wouldn't tell us what document(s)) and it would take 2-3 weeks to do. I paid DELBROS P650 for this procedure and another P165 delivery fee for when the Visa is issued. When I asked the girl at DELBROS how long it would take, she said 6 weeks. Both my fiance and I have called the Visa Call Ctr to try and get some updates on this matter, all we get from whoever we speak to is "It is still being processed." Both my lawyer & Congresswoman tries to get some info. however, they get the same answer. My last call was this past Friday (Feb. 8) and I was told that it normally takes 6 weeks from the time of the interview and if we didn't hear from the USE by Feb. 15 to call back on Feb. 18 and they will begin a follw-up. Can someone give me a phone number for the USE in Manila that I can call to see if I can get any information from them? This waiting very long while others have their visas already and i am here not knowing what is happening already with the status of my papers, how long will it take for the documents to be verified is very frustrating for the both of us. We want this matter to be cleared up as soon as possible so that i can join my fiance in NY and we can get married soon. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.  |
