My question is regarding our sons CRBA his interview is on the 9th of July just a few days short of his being 6 mos old....my question is regarding his nationality, i know that he derrives american citizenship through me as that is what the interview is for and so that we can get him a US passport, what I would like to ask if anyone knows how if in anyway does this then affect his immigration status as regards Philippine Immigration? Does he automatically qualify as a dual citizen as he was born in the philippines to a pinay mother????? my wife....thanks for any insight on this...btw i attached his passport pic cuz i think its so cute and i wanted everyone else to see it. :lol:

Our appt for our sons CRBA is july 7. From everything i have read after the CRBA is issued and your son has a US passport he is treated as a US citizen.No need for CFO, etc. He will maintain his dual citizenship coz he was born in the Fils. As long as he has his CRBA/passport he is to be treated as a US citizen.I will post about our appt as asap after we are done. Good luck with the appt on the 9th.

hi angkano...goodluck on your interview on july 7...mine was 7 too on k1....i suggest you bring food ...milk for your baby and toys too...my interview with my son we wait 4 hours....my son is really bored there.....hope no more dna test...keep posting...godbless

Yep he's sobrang gwapo our son, and so healthy i feel extremely blessed to have found the love of my life and to share the joys and hardships of parenthood.....well thats just too amazing for words!! but yeah bluemist ill PM you around the 8th or 9th and let you know how it went and what to expect...btw ur lil girl is quite cute as well

Yea.Coz filipinas are veery maganda and so the babies are too.Ok,i'll just wait for you PM about your son's CRBA experience.

guys i'm on the same path also, just gave birth last June 21 and we're waiting for our baby's NSO BC this week.

Please post your CRBA interview experience that will be a great help for me and others who are doing the same.

We just applied for our baby's local birth certificate, will be getting it this friday July 4..

Also, we will have an advance endorsement this friday to NSO and according to them will be able to get it after 2 weeks.

That's good so it will not take long.Just keep in touch with NSO for ur son's BC.

It depends.I heard some are 1 week only and some 2 weeks to 1 month.Take care!
