Hi all,

Relyn saw that Sharon n Jimmy shared their views of the interview so I suppose we should as well. It was quite a weekend and we didnt even know there would be an embassy to walk into. We woke up at 4am and had some breakfast and showered. It wasnt raining when we got down to look for taxi but wow the sky opened up and I'm sure thats when Sharon n Jimmy arrived. When we arrived the rain had let up a little but it was clear we needed another umbrella so Relyn bought another one.......lol. No shortage of opportunists offering to sell umbrellas. We also tried to get in the line for K-1 visas under the plastic cover. We were ordered to remove ourselves....lol.

We ended up moving down the street same as everyone else who was too early. I recommend that if youre appointment is 7am then 630am is just fine. It was cool to run into some familiar vj'ers. Familiar to Relyn anyway.

It was clear to us Mely,Jomay and Sharon that being part of the vj family was immense help. We were next to a girl that clearly was unprepared and was filling out forms for some time........The thing that kills me is they got their consul interview much earlier than Mely, Jomay and us. Sharon was gone for an hour before we got to see consul.

The prescreener was nice. She was smiling and asked both of us some questions. She asked for my tax returns and w-2's. I said do you want more than last year and she said just last year is fine. Then i offered w-2's and she said just the tax return. She didnt even ask for the I-134. She wanted Relyn's annul decree, marriage contract with remarks and decision. Also the Birth certs. Then it was time to wait again for our number to be called for the consul.

The consul was an older man. Grandpa type. He is about 65 and we could hear his booming voice over the speaker outside the door. We thought this guy would be different just becoz of his voice. He asked a couple questions of Relyn son...his age, schooling. Did he have good grades. Of course first he said, "Will you tell me the truth if i ask you some questions?" Then he turned his attention to us. Asked us to raise our right hand and he swore us to tell the truth. He reveiwed the documents and appeared to be reviewing the I-129F and other documents we provided at the prescreener and what she gave to get the number. He asked how we met, how many trips I have made, my job and where. He reviewed my previous marriages and even said their names...(two ex-spouse). He asked if I had any children and I said yes. "any under 18"? I said no. Then it was over.

No proof of ongoing relationship requested. nothing. not even the I-134. Not the letters of intent to wed (current ones).

Not the letter from employer, no bank statements

We were pleased with the way we were treated of course except for staying out in the rain. There were an awful lot of people there though.

We are very greatful for all the information and help we have received from others during this journey of ours.

Relyn and I wish everyone the very best in life.
