I've done the ND/Winnipeg one several times. It's never busy.

Busy no problems, but friendly... that's what i'm talkin' about. :)

I just did the Sarnia POE for the first time and the guy was soooo nice. It was "almost" a pleasure!!

(although he thought it was weird that I wrapped my husband's bday pkg in SpongeBob paper)

I've only ever had a male Customs officer and they weren't particularly friendly, but not unfriendly either. Of course, we only spoke to them for total of a minute or two to get back into Canada. The real grilling for me was to get back into the States but even then it was only for them to check over the documents and for them to stare into the car.

 Yep  This is were I work! The Peace Gardens are actually very nice once the flowere are in bloom.... and well Tommy - is the big turtle that is in the town of Boissevain.

Like any port there is the good and bad inspectors - so yes you may have a pleasant experience or you may get the crusty one. An hey, even I have some bad days. Just don't ask for Neiks or they will think you are crazy. Name dropping isn't a good thing.
