Quick Q please:)

Why do you think some people get interviews before others, even when the other person sent there package 3 in a week before and got a interview 3 weeks after the other person. (not a personal Q, just wondering:) )

Security checks at consulate? Just the Q waiting for a interview date?

Medical results affecting, cheers all!

I think there's just a queue for interview dates. London did me a huge, huge

favour because my fiancee is pregnant and our baby is due in July. I sent

in a letter with my packet 3 forms stating our situation and politely requesting

an immediate interview. I also included proof of pregnancy. Two days later,

London got back to me with an interview date.

Most certainly, I am the exception to the rule (and proof that pregnancy DOES

get your case expedited). London did me a favour because I was in a tight

spot, otherwise I'd have been on the same list as everyone else. Of course,

individual circumstances and cases may vary, but, for the most part, there's

a queue and it's first come, first served, I guess.

I'm surprised that London seem to be as backlogged as they are. Who knows

what's going on behind the scenes though - they could be tied up with the

bureaucracy and whatever new crazy schemes the Department of Homeland

Security has cooked up to put people under the microscope.

I also think it has somthing to do with what date you put on the DS-156 as your travel date!!..........London will always try to accomodate(SP?) you as close to this date, even though they say not to make travel plans, but after asking a few people around the time of my K3 interview, we found this was the case, the ones that put dates got quicker interviews!!........................or it might of just been a coincidence

Actually its all very scientific - it depends on how many 'C' notes you attach to the application. The more notes the sooner you get your interview.

I put down a very definite date on the checklist, and when I was talking

with the chap at the embassy today because of the whole IMBRA debacle,

he knew exactly what date I'd written down.

Others have mentioned this point as well. If you put down a specific date

that seems realistic, then London will try their best to accomodate you.

Maybe its a hard job! It must be a hard, very hard job.

Luck of the draw? My original date was 22 May I asked if the could get me a date before 19 May as that's when Mike's daughter , Sharla graduates. They changed my date to 10 May. On my original application I had asked for a date before mid -may a this is the cut of date for pets to tavel in summer. I had also stated that we planned to may in May LOL :)
