My friend went to her AOS interview in Seattle. They informed her that she needed her NOA2 for her approved I-130 and that she has 2 months to bring it in. Well she lost it. How would she get another copy of it without having to re-file and wait for another approval?

How is that done considering the I-485 is the application for adjustment of status....

YMMV

I was told that she either has to re-apply with I-130 or the I-824 to request a dupe. Does that sound right?

I-824 would be more practical than a re-file.... Do you have the case number and can look at the CRIS system?

YMMV

You'd need to file I-824 to get a copy of your NOA. You could look online, but a print off from the CRIS system isn't proof of anything, especially since anyone can get the same print off if they have your receipt. It's not secure.

I guess I had dislexia when typing the petition number. The I-485 is $1010 and the I-824 is $340.

It would be done by filing the I-824 and checking box A under Step 1.
