Now, Now, the wheels of government turn slowly.

USCIS can take up to 6 months, and then later NVC can take more time.

And of course let's not forget the normal 3 month transit time from NVC to GUZ, yes thats right, Chinese customs tend to hold them up for a month, and then the consulate warehouses them until they are ready to "receive" them.

US Consulate Guangzhou is slow, but not bad considering they are the only immigrations consulate in a country with over 1 billion people, or lets say they handle cases for a country with 1/4 the world's population.

So patience is needed when dealing with immigrations from China.

Why not check out "A Candle for Love" and read about all the other people dealing with the long wait for that consulate?

well thank you for adding more negative news, though i can't say you said anything i don't already know.

i was speaking of uscis, not anything else. i am already a member of that website, thanks. i am not yet ready to complain about the future, only the present.

look at our lovely DMV, and USCIS and every other bureaucracy. Any of you who think universal healthcare is a good idea, i hope you die before you are allowed to vote on it.

You don't know what they have or have not done with your petition. Mine and many others never showed a "touch" between NOA1 and NOA2. Here's hoping you see that approval email before you see any touches and that it comes soon.

Also, Chinese Customs has nothing to do with the petition delivery delay. You'll see packages delivered a day after arrival. It's really all on the Consulate and their procedures, intended to use the DHL warehouse for storage until they're ready to take delivery.
