NSO: 9 working days to facilitate doc verification

After a few days, I'm past the denial stage, and have finally accepted that I will reschedule my flight thanks to docs verification.

But, acceptance doesn't translate to sitting in one corner to sulk. While the though of waiting a few more weeks to see my husband is making me sad, it's not enough to stop me from trying to find out why the system does not seem to work, at least insofar as docs verification is concerned.

To start with, the USEM sends a list of names of visa applicants for verification to Delbros (apparently, even if an applicants pays weeks in advance, Delbros will just sit on the docs verification, and will transmit the applicant's name if it is on the list supplied by the USEM). The question is: how can Delbros defend its failure to submit a name that has been included on the USEM list?

Next, Delbros will submit that list to NSO (they do this every Monday).

The NSO, for its part, will work on the names for 9 working days. Results of which will be submitted to the USEM on a Friday (again, 9 working days from receipt of request. Now, if there's a holiday in between, i'm not exactly sure how the Monday and Friday deliveries will be affected, if at all).

Then, the consul will once again revisit the applicant's case. Since the approval/disapproval of a case is deliberated on for about 5-7 minutes (the estimated time of the interview), it's logical to assume that the revisitation of a case should take roughly the same amount.

So, how come it takes as long as 6 weeks to as short as 2 weeks for the visas of applicants on ar (due to docs verification) to be released?

Would appreciate hearing your two cents worth.

well i also ask why delbros is involved in this at all? everything dealing with a visa is a government agency. why is delbros , a private company, involved in this processa t all. i am just ammazed at the amount of time this all takes, when the actual time involved can be broken down into hours and days, so why does this take months. and also why when we call to find out our status they seem to cop an attitude. it seems this whole thing is a big secret they dont want anyone knowing about. there was a post from a previous adjudicator. he said it takes 15 mins to review the packet. so why does the USCIS have it for several months? job security is my only guess. i do know that is they were a private organization and held accountable there would be big chnages for the better. but since we are dealing with governments, there is no accountability.

THIS WHOLE PROSCESS IS A LOAD OF #######. FROM USCIS TAKING OVER SIX MONTHS TO LOOK AT APPLICATIONS,REQUESTING ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTS. ETC. AND THEN WHEN THE CASE GETS TO THE N.V.C. HAVE THEM ASK FOR THE EXACT SAME DOCUMENTS IS BEYOND IGNORANT! THEN WHEN THE CASE GETS TO THE EMBASSY TO HAVE THESE SAME DOCUMENTS VERIFIED, IT IS ALMOST UNBEARABLE.

THE DOCUMENTS ARE ALL ON SECURITY PAPER. I, WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW HOW MANY CASES OF FORGERY HAVE BEEN DISCOVERED? I STRONGLY SUSPECT THE ANSWER IS ZERO!!!

USEM will send only request letter for specific name if Delbros will inform USEM that that particular name and case # paid the Document verification already. So, no matter how Delbros confirmed that they received your payment, the most important thing should be that Delbros should Inform USEM about your payment so USEM can include you in the list to be sent to Delbros to be forwarded to NSO for document verification.

It doesn't matter you pay so much early or just almost in time (let's say 1 week before interview date), all that matter should be Delbros should inform USEM of that payment.

I dont know if you are still staying in a hotel or what your situation is but I wouldnt wait there for the visa if it is still in document verification. It took my fiancee over a month to get them verified since when they were sent and now its been in the embassy for I think 10 days and no visa. I doubt your situation will be like ours, most people dont have that many problems but im just saying if you are paying for a hotel it could really add up if they do happen to go really slow. I just paid for my fiancee to fly back to CDO when I had to fly home and she will go back to manila when the time comes for the cfo and her final departure.

I already paid Delbros Document Verification more than a month before my interview (July 7). With the trend now, I will be expecting a 6-week delay due to Delbros' Mañana Habit.

Don't get stuck in Manila. Better go home with your family and enjoy moments with them while you are still here. :)

Actually, when you pay MetroBank and text Delbros, Delbros sends a payment verification to the USEM (follow up with call to Delbros to make sure they have forwarded the payment verifcation). The USEM waits approximately 2 weeks, or longer, to send the document out for verification. As you said, verifications go out on Monday unless it is holiday. Delbros delivers documents to be verified to NSO. the NSO verifies and sends back to the USEM on Fridays, unless Friday is a holiday. Delbros delivers to USEM.

Just like majority of the people in here, I am also stuck in the docs verification black hole. For a while I thought that paying it way advance my interview will definitely make a difference in the process but unfortunately, one particularly dim-witted move from Delbros shattered everything we planned.

What happened to me may not be an isolated case but in my opinion is a classic example of how screwed up Delbros' process is in handling our docs verification request. I paid my share of docs verification fee April 30 and was informed that our docs were already being verified by NSO starting May 5. I called Delbros 4-5x to confirm this information and everytime I was told the same thing so I rest my case and focus on preparing for my medical and interview. Come June 4, a day before my interview proper, I called NSO to check and was told that there are no records found concerning my petition. Anyway, to make the long story shorter, Delbros sent USEM's request to verify my documents on the morning of my interview which to me is a total spoiler. Now I and my husband are left with more waiting.

Also, please take note that USEM's request to verify my docs was sent on a Thursday only because I pressured Robbie to send it ASAP as it is his fault (reason being is they got confused with my married and single name). He even told me that he'll just request for my case to be expedited by attaching a pink slip on the request to which NSO contested, as the person in-charge at NSO told me that there's no such thing as an expedited request as they're following a strict protocol which is 9 working days.

Oh well... I, too don't get why the process can take as much as 6 weeks when looking at how their procedure runs, 2 weeks should be the maximum timeframe even if they have are dealing with a scenario like mine.

No matter how much we rack our brains out to find out the reasons for the delay in visa processing, i think we will not get to the bottom of it at this point in time. We will just go crazy trying to find that out. I think that we should all make a move that all vj members who are stuck, got stuck before, and might get stuck in the future in this horrible mess, WE ALL WRITE COMPLAINT LETTERS TO DELBROS (since it is a private company) so that Delbros management will somehow wake up and try to rethink their procedures. I feel that if we all write, then am sure there will be an action from the Delbros management. Whether that is wishful thinking or not, we will never know until we all try it out. What do you think guys?

i think that's a great idea. that way, it's not going to appear like we're just sour-graping but are actually after improving the system.

my question is, are we going to submit individial letters or one letter signed by a number of people? If so, who will draft the letter?

well we were informed today that Delbros sent to doc ver request to the NSO. So we will see if anything g happens before Maribel's interview. She is waiting for the sputum test results , so we have until the first week of Aug for the NSO verification to get back to the USEM. keeping our fingers crossed that long will definitely interfere with my typing
