How long before my card arrives??

I just wondered how long it took those among us to get the Greencard in the mail, & SSN?? :unsure:, after POE!!

April/04/2005- Visa journey began!!

We did both K3 & CR1 visa's, got both!!- I returned to England for my CR1 interview after first arriving on a K3 visa!!

May/25th 2006- Green card arrives in the mail................YAY!!

19th June 2006 I Had to go to the Social Security Office to get my number, the DS-230 didnt work for me!!

26-June-2006- Social Security# arrived in the mail....YAY!!

Feb 2008 lift conditions <<<reminder to self!!<<<< went to England for a visit instead, no rush right, 90 days is a long time,LOL

Removing Conditions Begins

Mailed I-751 April 12th 2008

signed for @ NSC April 16th

NOA date April 16th

Conditional GC expired May 5th 2008

Biometrics Detroit May 10th 2008

10 year Green card ordered August 20th 2008

Citizenship any time from feb 2009

I just wondered how long it took those among us to get the Greencard in the mail, & SSN?? :unsure:, after POE!!

For SSN card give it three weeks and them head into SSA office to see what's going on.

I have heard from ppl who got their GC within 4 weeks! I guess it once again depends and there is no answer that is true for everyone.

Hope it's soon for you though!!

Aug 02 2006 - Flying back to Tulsa with my CR1 in passport

May 2 2008 - Mailed I-751 to TSC

May 21 2008 - Received NOA 1 (extension letter) from VSC

May 27 2008 - Biometrics Appointment in OKC

July 22 2008 - touched

August 6 2008 - touched

February 22, 2009 - touched

March 24, 2009 - card production ordered

April 4, 2009 - Green Card in mail

Aug 31 - Oct 20 2005at NBC

Oct 26 - Nov 3 2005 at NVC

Jan 10 2006- Visa interview

Feb 09 2006- Flying to Tulsa

I did not receive my SSnumber in 3 weeks, so my husbandn and I headed to the SSadministration to get a number. I received my SSnumber within a week. With my green card/permanent residence card, I got it in 4 weeks.

June 08, 2009 - Mailed packet to TX lockbox

June 12, 2009 - USCIS TX received Packet

June 15, 2009 - Notice Date

June 19, 2009 - Recieved NOA

July 15, 2009 - Scheduled for biometrics

Sept 21, 2009 - Scheduled for Interview ....Passed the interview test

Oct. 16, 2009 - Oath taking

Yeah there seems to be a disconnect between DoS/HLS and SSA. The SSN card never seems to be applied for. More often than not it seems people have to go and apply in person. But wait until you have the Green Card at least. And take your passport with you. when you go to apply for the SSN card.

Um my wife's Green Card arrived like within 3 weeks.
