Waiting for packet 3?

Hello everyone, thanks for all of the awesome help so far.

Another question- should we wait for the embassy to send us the packet 3, or should we go for it now? I received an email and snail mail from the NVC saying they sent our petition to the embassy on May 21st.

I downloaded the forms, filled 'em out and printed...then off to Thailand for my sweetie's signature-

so, we are ready to go!

But I have read somewhere that we should wait.

Any thoughts?

We're trying to decide the same thing. I don't think it matters one way or the other, as long as you know they have your case. Some on Sawasdee 2 have said packets don't always reach the applicant by mail in Thailand. I emailed the embassy with an address change and they replied that they had changed it, so we know they have the case.

P.S. I don't think they would have the packet so clearly presented on their website if they didn't expect anyone to utilize it.

You can always contact the Embassy and ask.

Ours was so nice that they sent the packet 3 earlier once I emailed them telling them about the approval.

Great feedback everyone, thank you so much...

I think we are going for it...it's gonna be 3-4 months for the interview regardless, better to get the DATE as soon as possible I guess.
