In 2006 I was hospitalized for uterine cancer, and went through chemotherapy. At the time I did not have insurance.

Now one of the doctors has sent my bill to a lawyer, and is wanting to collect the money I owe him for a past surgery.

The firm is making payment arrangements for me, because the bill is large.

I was asked to send in copies of all of the monthly bills my husband and I owe. One of these includes his credit card, which we pay monthly. I sent in the information, and because my doctor knows I'm married, he had to sign the bottom and give his amount of monthly income.

Because my bill was sent to a lawyer for collection, and my husband's name is on it, could it affect him in anyway as far as immigration is concerned?

He already has his 2 year greencard, and will be filing for Removal of conditions next year.

I don't think any of this could affect him, but I just like to be safe about it.

- Thanks :)

Dont think so, the removal of conditions is to prove that this is and still remains a relationship founded by love, not a credit application.

Thanks :) I was thinking the same thing.

We just had such a hard time getting him here, I am always very cautious. (Maybe too cautious)
