Cool; thanks everyone.

Canadalaura, you are correct. Our local service centers are Charlestone and Greer.

I wonder how they decide where to send between the two.

Which do you live closer to? Pray for greer!!! Haha!

As a sidenote, I haven't seen anyone from SC transferred to CSC then subsequently approved without an interview.

How do you like SC? We have VERY similar timelines!

Can I ask a quick question? If my biometrics were done in California, San Francisco to be exact, will we be transferred to the CSC?

Not necessarily. You will be transferred to your local district office. California Service Center (as far as I know) is being forwarded some cases from district offices that are backlogged.

It's not Service Centers you're talking about, but District Offices. You can find out your District Office at uscis.gov by following the link in the left menu and scrolling down a bit on the new page.

There's no deciding. It's purely geography.

We waited 3 years.

Hi all. Hope all is well in visajourney land.

I just called the everso frustrating national call center. I submitted an AOS in September 2005 (it was received in Spetember 2005) and I got the receipt letter etc. But since then I have not heard a peep. It is well past the 120-180 days they indicated it would take.

The person I spoke to said they were 7 months - SEVEN MONTHS - behind. Are they for real? I mean, what!?

Has anyone else been waiting ages for AOS? Has anyone else been told about this delay?

Thanks.
