Hi! My fiance' faxed it the second document to the consulate in Naples yesterday, so I wrote an e-mail asking when he can have an interview date and medical appointment, etc. And the response was very... vague. The answer was "As soon as a visa appointment can be set, we'll be happy to inform you." So, I'm just wondering what kind of time frame are we talking about here -- a week, three weeks, eight months? lol I read that it usually takes a month to get the interview, as in -- if you submit your second document on May 1st, your appointment will be around June 1st. I also asked for Packet 4 (which I read the Naples consulate sends you) and they didnt email me anything or tell me if they've sent my b/f one in the mail.

How long does it take for them to actually tell you your interview date? I'm sure this varies by consulate, but still, any advice would be welcome. Should I just e-mail again in a few days and ask again should he call in a few days?

Boy....I know how frustrating it is to wait.. so I feel for you wanting to know anything..but the simple and short answer is that you had it right all on your own.. It does really!! vary by consulate, and it's hard to say. London was a 3/4 weeks, but others can be VERY much longer(and some not) Maybe someone that's going through your consulate(which one is it btw, I'm confused..it doesn't take much at the moment, so it's not you, it's me! )will have some better advice for you. best wishes for it to be a speedy one! :) M.

Hi! He's going through the Naples Consulate (the only consulate in Italy that does K-1 interviews). But I think I may be the only one here currently awaiting and interview there (I know at least one other will eventually have an interview there, but she just filed the petition). Is there anyone else that has gone through/is going through Naples right now? Thanks :)
