Good Day,

I would like to know,if what are the requirements of marrying in the Philippines.

My friend fiance here in Los Angeles, is asking me, if what documents should he bring when he visit the Philippines early week of June.

He plans to have a civil wedding in Manila, do he need to register and notify the US embassy in manila about his plans of marrying his fiancee.

I hope you can give me some information.

hi there,

is your friend divorced or single? if he is divorced just bring his divorce papers ( original and photo copies) and his passport , he needs to get the "legal capacity to marry" in Manila USEM before he and his fiance can file to get a Marriage license to marry in the Philippines.

Only few minutes. Ours took only 20 mins and prepare $30 for legal capacity to marry fee. Good Luck!
