Hi everyone, I thought I read on this wonderful site that I could make my check out to USCIS, and I am living out of the country so I had to get a check through my bank that took a while to obtain. Anyway, I was reading some things on the USCIS website and it said ¨make checks payable to US Department of Homeland Security.¨ I really don´t want to go back to the bank again to change it cause I have to arrange for time of work and all that to do it, but of course I would rather do that then get an RFE. Anyway, has anyone made a check out to USCIS and had it accepted? Anyone had it rejected? Any other thoughts? Thank you!!!

Oops! Sorry I posted too fast, I just found the correct place on the USCIS site, I had somehow been redirected to the National Benefits Center, but it does say I can make payments to either name for the I-129F. Sorry!!! Hopefully this post can at least help someone in the future!!

They will take a check made out to USCIS but your question brings up a concern. Section 13 of the I-129F instructions clearly states how to make out the check. What other instructions did you fail to carefully read and follow? I'd go back over everything very carefully and make sure you've followed the instructions properly.
