Can some please help me with my situation please?

Earlier this year, I applied for EAD card ( I will do OPT this August) Well, I got married and want to use my husband's last name but if I start the process to change my last name, the name on my EAD card won't match (it has a maiden name on it) So would that be a problem when I go apply for a job and it won't match my social security card? If it is can someone please tell me how to change my name on EAD card?

Thank you so much!!!

I assume you applied for all your paperwork using your maiden name? You might want to make an info pass appointment to see if this can be changed while you're in the process. If not, your GC will also come in your maiden name. Changing your name to your married name if you can not change it after application will cost you a lot of money. I've heard $390.00? If your paperwork cannot be changed at this time, you're going to either have to pay the fee to change it, or wait until it comes up for renewal and ask for a name change at that point.

You did not indicate if you've already submitted your AOS/EAD/AP forms as you're only talking about the EAD for your OPT. If you are in the process of submitting your AOS/EAD/AP, then go ahead and submit it under your married name.

If you've already submitted your AOS/EAD/AP but used your maiden name, then try to have the name changed to your married name when you go for your biometrics.

As it is, I don't know if there will be problems with the employer verification if you present your EAD (in single name) and your SSN (in your married name).
