Hi my wife just got her social security card and I noticed that it said must have DHS authorization to be valid for work. She currently has the EAD but does this change when you have the green card? If it does do you get that statement removed from the card. Thank You!!

Yes, when she'll receive the GC she can go to the SSN office to change her SSN without restrictions.

I think that she can because she has a SSN now! So, the next time that you'll report income together you can use the SSN instead the ITIN. But you need to ask first if there is a way with the IRS to change ITIN for SSN (to update).

Yes there is. You send a copy of your ITIN paper along with a copy of your SS card. It's that easy. I will call the ITIN division just to be sure tomorrow morning.
