In the absence of some magical/technological ability to roll back time and raise people from the dead - what... exactly... do you expect Germany to do? The question is surely not whether they should help at all, but whether they are helping enough.

You see this is confusing to me. One the one hand you pour scorn on valueless expressions of sympathy; and on the other you do the same for any tangible and practical attempt to address the past.
