K3 Approvals and not IR-1/CR-1?

I got really excited this morning when I clicked on the Timelines and saw that the CSC is up to mid-February for K3s! I also checked the K3 timelines and saw a lot of recent approvals. Then I looked at the IR-1/CR-1 timelines, and there haven't been any new approvals in over a week.

Does anyone know why this is? Is the USCIS putting a priority on I-130s submitted along with a 129f? Anyone have any ideas? I'm starting to think that we should have done a K3 instead of a IR-1/CR-1 because in that case, the I-130s and the 129fs are getting approved at the same time! Help!

Timeline

I feel the same way. I am not sure if the I-129f filers went down drastically and there are different immigration officers handling those cases or not. That would explain why those are getting done in record speeds. But those of us who decided to stick with the CR-1/IR-1 visas are being left out to dry. Immigration does not make sense in the slightest. I am truely happy for those that have been approved, it is not their fault, but there is always a sick feeling in my stomach when I know that it may be up to 8 months or more before my petition is completed. I am in month 4....
