change from K1 to K3. problems?

3 posts in this topic

hello everyone.

my fiancé and I started sent out the petition a month ago and so far we got NOA 1. right now, we talked a lot about getting married and getting the K3 visa. would we get in trouble for stopping the K1 visa process? do we actually have to stop it or is a not-filling-out-any-more-forms enough? is there anyone who experienced the same and give us some help?

thanks in advance.

:)

I think you can cancel the peittion. But you will be applying for a different type of visa and it means you will need to refile all new paperwork and with new fees.

there wont be any problem with filling out and paying again. we just worry if they process will take longer because we changed our mind.
