I had the same thing happen. We had our interview on 2/26, and at the time the interviewer said we were approved, and that the Green Card should arrive withing 2 weeks. We we waited, and waited. The notice on the USICS web site says to wait 60 days. So then I called, and the agent at the call center said that the interviewer doesn't make the final approval, but opened an inquiry anyway. Got a letter saying to wait another 60 days.

So, not believing them, I made an appointment at the local Honolulu office through InfoPass. They never admitted it, but I think they just didn't finish the process the first time. They put the stamp in the passport right then and there, and said it would be processed by a supervisor, and the green card issued within 60 days.

At this point I don't mind waiting since we have the stamp in the passport which is good for 1 year!

Finally!
