When my fiancee and I come through immigration at the airport, can we use the U.S. Citizens Only line or do we need to go to one of the others? Usually when I come through Miami, the U.S. Citizens Only line is much shorter.

You may accompany your fiance through the non-citizens' line, but she can't go through the citizens'/residents' line with you.

You can ask one of the officers when you arrive it will not hurt to ask. My cousin did a marriage-based visa and when he arrived at jfk he asked one of the officers if his wife could come through the us citizens line with him they said no problem.

Most ports - they don't care - I have seen all kind of non-citizens/tourists in my line - Los angeles, Miami, Atlanta, Newark, Chicago - just to name a few. Go through together with whichever window you choose. I have never seen them send someone away to another window!

Yes, I believe it can change from port to port. Best thing to do is ask when you get there. Lots of them have an officer directing you towards the lines that you could query.

Yes, that's true—sometimes non-citizens can use the citizens'/residents' line.

If you're unsure, though, use the non-citizens' line.
