I have $3980 in tuition that isn't showing up on my Results page of my ufile.

I want to make sure they're actually getting considered when calculating my return.

I selected "Carryforward to use next year" for Treatment of unused tuition amounts.

I'm just worried cuz I'm not seeing it in my summary at all...

Also:

I selected Ontario as province of residence as of Dec 31 2007 for now..

not "non-resident"

Should I change that to non-resident?

you did fine sister.What software are you using? I used Studio Tax and did the same thing --- and it got me a nice refund. I even transferred amounts from Bren's tuition.

What we did was to download the freebie of Studio Tax (recommended by Mumsie) and made the calculations there. We were not able to file online since we are emigrants (and so are you); but we managed to print and then we mailed via USPS. when we will get our return is anyone's guess

non residents have to file paper returns through Ottawa..

Yup - pick Ontario and mail to the Ottawa addy.

Earmuffs called and they said taxes for non-residents are taking about 16-20 weeks.

Ya was for the 2004 tax year. I filed sometime in March 2005 and had the refund not that long later!! Sure wasn't 16-20 weeks. BUT that was in 2005, who knows about 2007! As wel it could be the old generalized statement!! Just spit out some #'s to make people happy, or tick them off,lol
