Ok I'm totally new here and to the immigration process...sorry for my stupid questions. My fiance has been handling everything for me.

Tonight I was browsing through the postings and noticed that a lot of people noted various milestone dates, such as "I130 touched" or "AOS touched". What does "touched" mean? Does it mean that USCIS has looked at the I130 or AOS or whatever document and that info is indicated on the website? What's the website?

thanks in advance!

Touched means that somebody from immigration has scanned the bar code of one or all of the applications submitted. Sometimes it really doesn't mean anything big but just passing or reviewing your case w/no outcome but other times may be the prior action to an approval, you call it EAD, AP or Green Card.

They are important because at least after being touched you know that your case hasnt been lost or misplaced w/other cases and the process is still going as it is supposed to.

Here, and you are going to need to create an account, you need your case numbers. You can find the case numbers on the notices of action you received by mail, mine starts with "MSC" dont know about yours.
