Cant return to Phil for 2 years after K1 marriage ?

Does this sound correct? Jesus, even I would be missing her family way before than.

I am hoping this is some kind of general answer to prepare ladies for worst.

Could all the requirement take that long ? :blink:

I-129F, AOS, ROC

02-11-2008 Sent out I -129F in mail

02-13-2008 NOA 1

03-14-2008 NOA 2

04-07-2008 Medical exam passed

04-25-2008 Interview, visa aproved, no RFEs!

04-25-2008 Waiting for DELBROS/NSO

05-07-2008 Visa on hand ! Wow, less than 3 months! Thank you Lord!

05-26-2008 POE Detroit, no problems, thank God!

07-01-2008 Married 07-01-08, civil, just us w/ his parents

07-16-2008 Mailed out AOS package

07-19-2008 wedding ceremony

08-19-2008 biometrics appointment

08-25-2008 i-485 touched

09-23-2008 i-485 touched

09-30-2008 i-131 approval notice THANK YOU LORD!!!!

10-04-2008 Received my EAD

10-06-2008 Received my AP...yehey, i can go back to Phil for xmas!

11-14-2008 DMV driving test-passed! thank you Lord!

11-18-2008 Received RI driver's license

11-30-2008 Went home to PHILs for the holidays

12-21-2008 Church wedding!

01-08-2009 AOS Approved! thank you Lord! no interview required!

01-16-2009 Received GC in mail

09-02-2010 Sent out application for ROC

09-08-2010 Received NOA1

09-10-2010 Received Biometrics Notice

10-06-2010 Biometrics

12-06-2010 Approved! Thank you Lord God!

12-11-2010 Received NOA2 and 10-yr GC in the mail =)

N-400

10-03-2011 Sent N-400

10-07-2011 NOA1 date

10-25-2011 Biometrics

12-02-2011 Civics Test/Interview (passed)

04-09-2012 Oathtaking (got my little USA flag and souvenir photo!)

Advance parole document will give her the chance to visit the Phils! When you submit you're AOS application don't forget to file I-131 form ( Application for travel Document)! You can go visit the Phils as long as you have approved I-131. No need to wait for 2 years.

July 22, 2007 Mailed I-129F

August 1, 2007 - NOA1

Dec. 3, 2007 - NOA2 received after 132 days from filing!

February 7,2008 (6:30AM) - Interview

February 22, 2008 - POE LAX, then flew on to Washington DC

March 8th, 2008 - We're MARRIED! Tyndall AFB, FL beachside!!!!

Aug 08-PREGNANT! Jan 09 -UPDATE! It's A BOY!

MAy 17 09 - Baby James Anthony born!!

I-129f was approved in 131 days from filing date.

Iinterview took 197 days from I-129F filing date.

2008 AOS Journey

April 3 AOS Sent

April 06 Received Date

April 10 Noticed Date 3 NOAs: AOS, EAD & AP (Received in mail April 14)

April 30 Biometrics Appointment (Notice received April 16) DONE!

May 06 AOS Transferred in CSC

May 12 Touched Case now pending

June 13 AP and EAD card Received

June 19 Touched

July 29 Touched

July 30 Card Production ordered!!

August 4 Received Welcome letter & GC in mail!!!

Total days: 3 months 3 weeks 6 days

You can return to the Philippines as soon as you have you Travel Permit( Advance Parole) when you apply together with Adjustment of Status and EAD after marriage. It took mine 56 days to receive my Advance parole to travel .And took 3- 6 months to receive Green card as well depending on each application.

02/07/2011-USCIS online status update-

02/12/2011- Received Interview Letter Scheduled March 14

02/12/2011- Received Descheduled letter

02/17/2011- USCIS online Status update

02/22/2011-New IL arrived schedule for March 29

02/22/2011-Descheduled Letter Again ( 2nd Time)

02/23/2011- I called USCIS and I was told new schedule in the computer for March 22

02/23/2011-USCIS ONline update....

03/01/2011-Interview Letter for March 22 @ 7:15 AM

03/22/2011- Interview and Oath; US Citizen

not true but depending on the AOS processing plus the parole if approved... got here last yr jan. of 07, i applied for AOS march of 07... got my interview plus GC july of 07... went to phil for a visit november of 07 so less than a yr (at least 9 months), i was be able to be back in phil and visit my mom... i miss them again though... good luck and God bless!!!

4/16/2010- signed and delivered

4/29/2010- check cleared

Oh its good to know we can go back in Phils in less than 2 years... My fiance and I are planning to have 2nd wedding in phils and thought we can only go back after 2 years.... 2 years is long to wait, i wanna wear my nice wedding gown before i get pregnant and gained alot of weight......lol....

This is my opinion too. The problem is... these instructors speaks to these future immigrants as if what they say is law. And many actually believes it.

Most of these instructors have probably never even lived here in the US.

And heres another opinion... These CFO seminars is actually just another way for the Philippine government to extract money from Filipinos one last time before they leave the country and go on to become future citizens of another country.

Oh wow. You have to pay for a CFO seminar? I wonder if there are other countries that make you take a seminar before you leave?
