Hi to everyone,

My name's Jose and I'll be at my interview at the consulate for my K1 Visa very shortly!

My fiance Karla does not meet the income requirements for the affidavit of support.

My aunt (US Citizen) meets the requirements by far and she agreed to sign and present copies of her tax returns.

So how do I fill out the I-864? the first affidavit should be my fiance checking box "e" on the first part, saying she's the first joint sponsor and

my aunt filling out the same form checking box "e" saying she's the second joint sponsor?

In the Form instructions it says that "A joint sponsor does not have to be related to the intending immigrant." does that mean my aunt won't qualify?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Jose

Should K-1 fiancé(e) visa applicants use the I-864 or the I-134?

Since fiancé(e)s are nonimmigrant visa applicants, they should use the I-134. They will need to submit an I-864 to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) when they adjust status to conditional immigrant in the United States after they are married.

You will be using I-134 NOT I-864. What you are proposing happens later when adjusting status.

Your Co-sponsor just fills out an I-134 too.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
