Can a K2 Marry and apply for green card?

I'm a K2 visa holder & I came under my father (K1) who had married a U.S. Citizen.

They couldn't work it out and got divorced before we could apply for green card. Now his case has been denied & he has to leave the country.

I turned 19 this year and I have a girlfriend. Can I stay if I marry her and apply for Green Card regardless of my father's case? What would be the proceedure? Please help!

Also can my father remarry another US citizen and stay?

Your father's case is one for an attorney to look at.

I believe you can marry and adjust status but I'd run that by an attorney too.

The conditions/circumstances for you and your father are different.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
