Well there was that thread where your response to one of Steven's comments was that he should spend his moeny on his baby. His baby had nothing to do with the topic. Neither did his spending habits. Appropriate?

Yes. I totally see the slippery slope

Typical distract and deter tactics. :bonk:

LOL... read the sequence.

Go ahead, Im still waiting for a straight up and down yaeh or nay on wishing someone dead.

Perhaps you should ask Ann - when she wrote that the Edwards drove around with a bumper sticker on their car saying "ask me about my dead son".

Then there's these choice comments.

I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate, John Edwards, but it turns out that you have to go into rehab if you use the word 'faggot,' so I'm - so, kind of at an impasse, can't really talk about Edwards, so I think I'll just conclude here and take your questions

If I'm going to say anything about John Edwards in the future, I'll just wish he had been killed in a terrorist assassination plot.

Classy lady.

Enjoying wit is one thing. Enjoying a lunatic that has nothing noteworthy to say is another.

Do you ever wonder why I do not respond to you most of the time? Don't, the rationale is in your response above.

Thank goodness MOST people that have the misfortune of viewing AC agree with me, from those that I've listened to, of course. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, frankly, and if you don't like my posts, continue ignoring them. No loss of sleep nor tears shed, K.

Unfortunately, your opinions have little or no substance. Frankly, I think you hang on the coattails of number6, and to me, it appears that you rarely have an independent thought.

I won't bother rebutting your contention that MOST people agree with you..........

It seems you're the only one here going off on that ludicrous tangent.

The only thing here thats ludicrous is your denial.

Denial of... ?

Your ability to be serious in a single thread?

Your really nothing more than someone who holds the shirt tails of others hoping the team will come to your rescue. Avoid, distract and deny!

The noose draws tighter with every lame comment you make.

yeah you know where you can blow that out of.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

OK. Have it your way if it makes you somehow feel accomplished. Like I said, I don't need to tally to notice I haven't shed any tears of approval, just having the ability to keep track of a conversation is benefit enough for me. In the meantime we'll continue waiting for you to learn the difference between opinion and fact. And fact is that personally, I could care less what your antiquated opinions say over and over when they are explained. Comprehension is not everyone's strong point, nor does it have to be yours if you choose it not to be.

Are you agreeing with wishing death on another human being? Yes or NO? Simple question! ANSWER IT! Otherwise go hug Steve. :bonk:

OK so you concede the point about the slippery slope then.

No I'm not agreeing with it, but I think you're taking the comment way more seriously than it was intended. Neither would I add, is that comment a particularly bad example. I've seen far far worse on here - and you didn't pipe up with this criticism then...

Hahaha...Straight to the garbage can! You say you don't care, but then react like a pissy shoolgirl with a hissy fit and a litany of insults....

Curious behavior indeed....

BTW, I'll bet I can do a forum search on any thread you've ever participated in and I'll find that you always have the last word....true/false?

It's not a debate to you but a war of attrition....

Wonder what the reaction would be if this piece were written by someone else....

I haven't read the book, but if it reads as written in the OP, then I'd say there was merit to the article.

Of course, context is everything, but don't tell me about how it's not meant the way it's written if you haven't read it either ;)

Coulter's opinion pieces are notorious for their creative twisting of other people's words. Why should we take her word for it that on this - her opinion is credible?

At least as Peejay has indicated people can read the book and find out what the truth is - if they care to.

As I see it - Coulter's name on anything doesn't provide much of a motivation for me to take her at her word.

Heard the story of the boy who cried wolf? Same thing.

K- seriously... do whatever search will make you feel accomplished, happy, and somehow intellectually superior (that which you certainly act in a way contrary to) to that same pissy schoolgirl. Maybe you'll discover those posts as actual replies to your continuous bellicose mentality against liberals- whatever that means to you.

Parts of the book are actually quite inspiring.

"It was usually an effective tactic, another one of those tricks I had learned: People were satisfied so long as you were courteous and smiled and made no sudden moves. They were more than satisfied, they were relieved -- such a pleasant surprise to find a well-mannered young black man who didn't seem angry all the time."

"Any distinction between good and bad whites held negligible meaning."

it's "easier than spending all your time mad or trying to guess whatever it was that white folks were thinking about you."

Replace 'black' with 'white' and vice versa and you tell me what would be said if a white candidate said any of the above.

Oh Jeez... That old cheddar again.

At the very least you should stick with your original argument that context defines. Making a value judgement on the entire narrative from a few isolated quotes is just ridiculous.

It's not 'cheddar', its my opinion. You don't have to like it.'

It's not a value judgment on the entire narrative based on a few quotes....it's my initial reaction to those particular phrases. I gave my opinion on the article in my last post. In this post, I broached what I don't like about what I've read thusfar...I don't like the 'white people, black people' game.

You're sat here defending the book, and calling my opin 'cheddar', but tmk, you haven't read it either?

I'm not defending the book - I can't because I haven't read it. I am however questioning the idea that Ann Coulter is a credible commentator when writes these articles.

Given her record as a plagiariser and a distorter I actually doubt that Coulter herself has actually read the book.

My comments in this thread actually said nothing about AC, and were to do with the book quotes directly.

Well you suggested that if anyone else had written it that it would have likely gotten a different reaction..
