Naive, naive, naive......So he consulted with the State department over this? Hell no. So I'm sure Iran must be just dizzy with glee! First they dumped on Carter, and manipulated him, and now they hope they have this dunce, Obama......

What else is there to say? BTW, he missed once again chairing his committee overseeing Afghanistan to grandstand at the Petreus hearing.

Yep, change alright, except I've seen this "change" before. lol

Why not sit down with bin laden while we are at it.

This is actually a good indication of his style of politics. After all his buddy Jeramiah Wright did meet up with Gaddafi in 1984.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

There are military folks on record saying the same thing. How much more can Petraeus achieve? Iran is holding a lot of the cards.

He's undermining our foreign policy, as well as emboldening our enemies. If this is his intention upon capturing the WH, then it would behoove him to simply keep his mouth shut, and/if he captures the WH then to sculpt his policy to achieve his goals! It’s irresponsible to make such statements at this time, particularly whilst this country is at war.

It's naive to announce to the world, let alone the Iranians that he's ready to acquiesce.....

He got a lot of flak for bringing it up at an early debate.

Keep digging, O, keep digging....

Again there does seem to be some support for dialog with Iran from within the military.

It doesn't matter. You never, particularly if you're possibly going to be the president of this country, purposely undermine any possible negotiating "currency" we may have to sway the Iranians to do our bidding by blatently mouthing your intentions.

Political science 101!

Its an ongoing debate, Kaydee. Perhaps they shouldn't have had Petraeus testify at all.
