Hi guys, I was here before, but my puter blew up and took my account with me. We are December filers, so you can imagine we are getting a touch excited. :goofy:

Anyway I am interested if there is anyway to find out if Hawaii is okay as a POE. The reason for asking is I am getting married in San Diego. Now the normal way to do this direct Sydney to LA - but there is only a 45 minute gap to the connecting flight, and I am of the impression I could be potentially in customs for a couple of hours.

So does anyone know how I can confirm my theory?

Hawaii as a POE is ok as is any US city which handles international flights.

Yeah the wait time at customs seems to be from 10 minutes to 2 hours... probably not a good idea to schedule a 45 minute layover

Emmett Fitz-Hume: I'm sorry I'm late, I had to attend the reading of a will. I had to stay till the very end, and I found out I received nothing... broke my arm.

Oh yeah, 45 minute layover is suicide. Make sure to have at least 3 hours if you can.

Well the serivce I have found has a three hour change over at Hawaii - I am guessing Hawaiian Customs would be a little less busy than LA - And If I let them know my time line for cleareance they might be a little more accomodating

By all means take the flight that gives you the most time. It is better safe than sorry.

It does have another advantage, means as soon as the plane lands on the mainland, I wont be held up leaving the flight - and can pounce on my lovely lady in double quick time
